I love photography - plain and simple. I love the stories behind it. I love the weird faces people make. I love the cake. I love eating it. I love how this day brings out the very best and the absolute wildest in people and that I get to be here for the whole thing. It’s hilarious and wonderful and quite a job.

WHAT TIME IS IT?
SHOWTIME!

A big part of my job is to bring the  fun to the table. It’s the biggest reason people hire me. By having fun, you’re relaxed, you’re candid, you’re natural and those are the three biggest words couples use when describing the kind of photos they want at the end of this.

Here's my take! For starters, let’s have
some fun with this! This is your big
wedding! Let’s remember why we’re all gathered here today so that we may have
way too many photos of smiling, happy people.

In saying that, a big part of my job is to bring that kind of fun to the table. It’s the biggest reason people hire me. By having fun, you’re relaxed, you’re candid, you’re natural and those are the three biggest words couples use when describing the kind of photos they want at the end of this.

While we’re all having a blast, I blend in and capture every expressive, emotional moment of your day. I’m not about interrupting the flow of anything to get some staged something and won’t deliver reels of tablescape photos. Nope. I let the moments happen naturally with the exception of some very direct hustling during family pictures, cause ya gotta.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: is an engagement session a must?

A: Slapping the optional label on an engagement session is a bit of a “Ooooh, you might regret that” for a few reasons. Having a few hours together before the real pressure is on builds tons of trust between us, gets you really comfortable in front of the lens, gives you a stack of fresh photos to flood Instagram with and pumps all of us way up with some fresh juice for all the photo possibilities on the day of now that we know each other.

Q: WILL YOU DIRECT US IF WE'RE PRETTY AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?

A: Dude, I can relate. Why do you think I'm behind the camera and not in front of it? Yes, I’ll help pose you together a bit for starters, but with a few prompts you’d be surprised how candid and natural it gets. The only thing you need to concentrate on is having fun! Having a genuinely good time helps you kick back and forget the awkward nerves. For portraits and family stuff, I’ll definitely corral the team and get them having fun while praying nobody blinks. For engagement shoots, the whole point is to have a blast - kinda like a really perfect date night - so get ready!

Q: DO YOU MEET WITH PEOPLE BEFORE BOOKING?

A: I have a family and two cats who desperately need snuggles so I prefer emailing, texts, phone calls and facetime in that order. I value your time and mine, but if you’d love to have some face to face time before your session or wedding then, I'm down! Let’s meet!

Q: DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

A: Does everyone weep during the father-daughter dance? Yep. You’re perfectly pairing two of my all time favorite things: traveling and photographing rad people getting married. I snap photos from Orlando to Miami without a fee, but anything off that grid will cost a few extra bucks.

Q: do we get raw images?

A: Martha Stewart doesn’t hand you the ingredients and wish you the best, right? She pours all of her years of experience and love into baking you the best damn cake ever and then might even sit with you for a bite. Same goes with raw images (and yes, I’m Martha in this empire of an analogy). You’ll get high resolution, incredibly-edited jpegs in an online gallery to download, share, stare, brag, post and print for your grandma.

Q: HOW SOON CAN WE SEE OUR PHOTOS?

A: About two weeks for portrait sessions and around 8-12 weeks for weddings. (12 weeks is only if there’s some insane life curveball, otherwise it’s 8. Cross our fingers.)

Q: can you help us make a timeline?

A: Oh, a thousand percent. We want to get the best photos at the best times, so I’m all about structuring this out to a finely-timed T.

Q: HOW MANY PHOTOS ARE WE GETTING?

A: The basic range is 75-100 images/hour, but if we’ve got a whole hour for portraits or your dance floor is Studio-54-level popping, you’ll get more.
